Local Business Owner Receives Top Honors at Annual Convention
Owner of Appleton FASTSIGNS Given ‘Business Operator’ Award
(Appleton, Wis.) March 3, 2010—Doug Brauer, owner of the Appleton FASTSIGNS® sign and graphics center, has been named “Business Operator of the Year” by FASTSIGNS International, Inc. The award was announced at the 2010 FASTSIGNS Convention, recently held in Austin, Texas.
In announcing the award, Susan Last, Chief Operating Officer for FASTSIGNS International, Inc. said, “Doug takes risks in adding and maintaining a technology plan; setting goals and achieving them by adhering to a marketing plan, operating budget and commitment to employee satisfaction. He has a clear vision for the center and demonstrates exemplary leadership skills in working to achieve that vision, so that each and every customer receives a seamless sign-buying experience.”
Prior to receiving the award, Doug served on the “Secrets of Success” panel offering business operations advice and insight to FASTSIGNS franchise owners in attendance at the convention. By invitation only, his presence on the panel was specifically requested by the FASTSIGNS International, Inc. executive team.

During the convention, Brauer also received a CEO Circle award, recognizing the Appleton FASTSIGNS as among the top 25 U.S. centers with the highest total sales.
