(TUCSON, Ariz.) Feb. 23, 2012 – The Tucson – Speedway FASTSIGNS® sign and graphics center, located at 3009 E. Speedway Blvd., was presented with the Innovative Customer Solutions Award during the 2012 FASTSIGNS Convention recently held in Nashville, Tenn.
The Innovative Customer Solutions Award recognizes a center that helps customers solve their business challenges in unique and creative ways using a variety of products and services. To enter, centers provided their best examples of how they created a comprehensive sign and graphics program for a customer. David Hirsch, owner of FASTSIGNS of Tucson – Speedway, was selected as the winner of the competition for his work with U-Swirl, located at 3587 E. Broadway Blvd.
“I purchased this center just over a year ago and to already be winning an award for creating innovative and comprehensive solutions for my customers is a wonderful feeling,” explained Hirsch. “My team and I strive every day to find the best solutions possible for our customers. We really appreciate this recognition.”
Despite not having owned the store for long, Hirsch has quickly embraced some more unconventional sign and graphics applications, such as mobile websites, guitar wraps and graphics for uneven surfaces. Hirsch also set up a Facebook Page for his center as a way to further connect with the Tucson community.
“By keeping our minds open to new products and services, my team and I have been able to better serve our customers. Rather than just recommending one sign, we consider a person’s entire business or event. That way, we can suggest some very unique and effective sign applications so that our customers can get the most bang for their buck,” said Hirsch.
Such was the case with U-Swirl. When the owner of the yogurt shop contacted David, he was interested in a single sign. After discussing the project with him, David learned that there were actually many opportunities to extend U-Swirl’s brand identity throughout the building.
“In the end, we made about 30 different types of signs for U-Swirl and we had a great time working with this local business,” explained Hirsch. “The local community truly is the reason that this FASTSIGNS center has been around since 1989 and we thank our customers for their loyalty.”
