US Army Captain Purchases Sarasota FASTSIGNS® Center

On Thursday, Dec. 1, local resident and US Army veteran Nathan Blythe became the owner of the Sarasota FASTSIGNS^® sign and graphics center.

Located at 4070 N. Washington Blvd., the center provides a full range of sign and graphics solutions to area businesses, organizations and events, including banners, site and architectural signs, window and floor graphics, point-of-purchase signs, safety and identification signage, trade show displays, vehicle graphics, mobile websites and much more.

“I am extremely excited to be a new business owner and I am looking forward to providing solutions for the community’s sign and graphics needs,” said Blythe. “I was born in Florida and have always liked Sarasota. When it came time to return from Iraq, I knew that I wanted to call Sarasota home.”

To help Nathan in his new endeavor, Priscilla Marshall has joined the team as a customer service representative. Additionally, Ian Surrena will continue to act as the center’s general manager. Before moving to the Sarasota FASTSIGNS center when it opened in December of 2010, Surrena worked in the Erie, Pa. center, training in a variety of different roles.    

“As the existing general manager, speaking on behalf of the team, we are very excited about Nathan becoming the new owner,” said Surrena. “His enthusiasm and dedication has had a resounding effect on all of us. As always, we will continue to provide quality service in a timely manner.”

Blythe has gotten involved with several local organizations since his return from service overseas. In addition to becoming a member of the Sarasota, Venice and Siesta Key Chambers of Commerce, he is also involved with the Young Professionals Group of Sarasota, the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens and a local Business Networking International (BNI) chapter.

“After traveling extensively abroad serving my country, I am now home and I want to serve my community as best as I possibly can,” explained Blythe. “I know that the talented and highly trained team here at the Sarasota FASTSIGNS center will continue to exceed the community’s expectations for their marketing needs.”
