FASTSIGNS® Enjoys Participating in the 2012 Olympic Games

With the Olympics in full swing, the team at FASTSIGNS® Chelmsford has been staying busy creating and installing a variety of visual communications applications for local organizations trying to make the most of the games.

One fun project included creating and installing a large display of a Union Jack banner for Romford Town Centre.

The Chelmsford FASTSIGNS team also produced and installed graphics for the University of East London’s (UEL) Sports Dock facility, the temporary home of the U.S. Olympic team. Part of the project included creating a series of wide-format signs and graphics for UEL’s Docklands campus to increase visibility and awareness during the Games.

"We worked with FASTSIGNS to fabricate and install attractive high-level signage at key points on our iconic waterfront Docklands campus that would identify UEL and be clearly visible from the nearby road, dock and DocklandsLight Railway,” said Ray Gregory, Director of Facilities at UEL. “FASTSIGNS completed this project efficiently, on time and to budget."

For the final result, FASTSIGNS created frosted vinyl graphics that wrap the campus building’s windows, featuring historic photos of previous Olympic games.

“It’s really exciting to be involved in the Olympics, especially since our handiwork may be seen by the thousands of people who are visiting the area,” said Jenny Boreham, owner of the Chelmsford FASTSIGNS. “We are just hoping that England can get more medals now!”
