FASTSIGNS® Attends SGIA Expo to Learn New Technologies, Build Partnerships, Expand Opportunities
(CARROLLTON, Texas) September 30, 2010 - FASTSIGNS International, Inc., the premier business-to-business visual communications and marketing solutions franchisor with more than 530 sign and graphic locations worldwide, will be attending and hosting several invitation-only events at the 2010 Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada, Oct. 13 - 15, 2010.

“The SGIA Expo is the primary marketplace for the growing SGIA community. Numerous organizations, franchises, user groups and participants from related industry segments with an interest in large-format graphics will be there,” says Michael Robertson, SGIA’s President and CEO. “We look forward to FASTSIGNS attending the Expo and taking advantage of this opportunity to conduct meetings, learn and explore exciting new business opportunities.”

Executives and other senior managers from FASTSIGNS® will be in active attendance throughout the expo attending sessions and walking the tradeshow floor to learn about new industry products and services available. During this time, FASTSIGNS representatives will hold strategy meetings with key vendors and manufacturers including Gerber, Océ, HP and Mimaki.

“The annual SGIA Expo is a great meeting of the minds for our system,” said Susan Last, Senior Vice President of Franchise Services for FASTSIGNS International, Inc. “Our corporate team members and some of our FASTSIGNS franchise partners attend to see the latest and greatest the industry has to offer and generate ideas for the future. We also get to meet potential new vendors and begin to develop mutually beneficial relationships.”

FASTSIGNS is also hosting a meeting with attending franchise owners, providing them with a guided tour of the trade show floor. Prior to the tour, a FASTSIGNS-only Town Hall meeting will take place, providing franchise owners a forum to discuss challenges, opportunities and best practices.

During the expo, Senior Vice President Mark Jameson (Franchise Development) and Drue Townsend (Marketing) will present the FASTSIGNS franchise opportunity to independent sign shop owners and discuss the company’s successful national conversion program. Together they will host a breakfast the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 13 from 8:30 am to 10:00 am, as well as a luncheon that afternoon from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm.

“With more than 350 markets ready and approved for new development - and a similar number of conversion markets planned—we are primed and ready to offer independent sign shop owners a unique opportunity to successfully grow and expand their business with FASTSIGNS,” explained Jameson.

The conversion initiative allows independent owners to partner with FASTSIGNS in an effort to reach their full potential and long-term goals. According to Jameson, FASTSIGNS is converting stores throughout North America, including Toronto, Canada; Fernandina Beach, Florida; and Williamsport, Pennsylvania; noting the growing interest in graphics businesses looking to become part of one of the most successful franchise systems in the business services category.
