Art installations inspires COVID-19 awareness

} was recently highlighted for their partnership with the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art and artist, Carrie Mae Weems, as she brings her art installation, “RESIST COVID | TAKE 6”, to life. The article shares that the goal of the museum exhibit is to encourage prevention and awareness of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Black, Indigenous and people of color. Take six stands for the six feet of social distance we have all become acquainted with in the past year.

The article shares that with a focus on advertising’s visual language, this multilingual project incorporates text, graphics and photographs to encourage vaccination, offer hope and present practical advice for stopping the spread of the virus. In addition, the piece shared that additional support comes from the University of Oregon’s Office of the President and Division of Equity & Inclusion, and this art campaign will be on display in Eugene and Springfield until the end of May.
