FASTSIGNS of Concord Celebrated 55 Years of Mustang and Grand Opening of Mustang Owner’s Museum

May 02, 2019

(CONCORD, NC) April 30, 2019 - FASTSIGNS of Concord® recently took part in the “55 Years of Mustang” event that happened in conjunction with The Grand Opening of the Mustang Owner’s Museum. This four-day event from April 17 to 20 honored the 55th Anniversary of the Mustang.

FASTSIGNS of Concord actively participated in several of the main events. Their vendor tent, located within the Charlotte Motor Speedway from April 17 to 20, highlighted what FASTSIGNS can do for mustang enthusiasts and business owners. Other vendors included after-market car part companies, companies that are performance-based companies and design companies such as Roush. Ford company representatives were also in attendance in addition to many of the Ford dealers.

FASTSIGNS of Concord also sponsored the “55 Years of Mustang Birthday Party” on Wednesday night. FASTSIGNS International, Inc.’s CEO, Catherine Monson, spoke to 700-900 mustang enthusiasts who represented approximately 260 mustang car clubs from 22 countries and all 50 states. After Monson spoke, Nick Terzas, Product Innovation leader for Ford Mustang, was the keynote speaker.

An Open Track Event at Charlotte Motor Speedway powered by CJ Pony Parts, on April 18 allowed track enthusiasts and mustang owners to come together on the tracks and register to do laps and drifting events were held. Later that evening, participants attempted to break the Guinness World Record for a Mustang Parade, which is currently held in Mexico. Wes Hamilton with FASTSIGNS of Concord and Catherine Monson joined the Parade at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

“Mustang owners are very proud to be part of a legacy and the mustang community, much like the business owners we work with every day, who are incredibly proud of the people they do business with,” said Shawn Hamilton, franchisee at FASTSIGNS of Concord. “There are few automobiles that people can rally around that have a legacy like mustang does.”

Additional events with the Grand Opening and “55 Years of Mustang” included a Ribbon Cutting ceremony, Welcome Reception, Hall of Fame dinner, “55 Years of Mustang Birthday Party,” “55 Years of Mustang” Event at the Charlotte Motor Speedway and a Saturday night banquet. Exhibits, vendors, seminars and parade laps with all mustangs parking inside the Charlotte Motor Speedway were also some of the highlights.

“We were thrilled to welcome all the enthusiasts for the Grand Opening and 55 Years of Mustang events,” said Donna Carpenter, President and CEO of the Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Our team enjoyed assisting as they explored the Mustang Owner’s Museum, our motorsports heritage and all the community has to offer. Travel is about making connections, and this new attraction is a place where visitors and residents alike will gather to share memories and make new ones. In addition to being a unique tourism asset, the museum boosts economic development and enhances the quality of life making Cabarrus County even more attractive to potential businesses.”
