• What is a standee?

  A standee is a standing display that is cut in a unique shape or size to add dimensional interest. A custom standee can provide a visual reminder of a theme or promotion and can serve as a backdrop or photo background.

• Are standees and standups the same thing?

  Yes. Standees are often referred to as standups or cutouts.

• What materials are standees made from?

  Standees are typically made from Plexiglas, foam board or cardboard.

• What is the best way to get FASTSIGNS my photo for the standee?

  Send a high-resolution digital file (eps, ai, jpeg). To send us a file, click here.

• Does my photo/artwork need to be high quality?

  Standees are printed from a picture or graphic to create a life sized display. The photo or artwork should be high quality, 300 dpi or higher.

• Do I need to remove the background from my photo first?

  Don’t worry about editing the background of your photo. Our graphic designers can provide this service. There is no background on typical standees if you choose a cut out option.

• Are standees more appropriate for certain industries?
  Standees are appropriate for any industry and are often used for presentations, at events and entertainment venues, and for promotions in movie theaters, automotive, retail stores and restaurants. View our gallery of custom standees and browse by industry here.
• Are there size and/or color restrictions?
  If you send us a photo or digital file, we can design a colorful, custom standee to attract attention for your products and services in your desired size. Please contact a FASTSIGNS center near you to ask about a standee in the size and colors you need.
• Will my standee require assembly?

  Standees are easy to assemble. Just attach the pre-cut stand and the standee is ready.
