Focusing on the creativity, innovation and modern technology of this important industry

(CARROLLTON, Texas) September 30, 2014—As FASTSIGNS® prepares to celebrate 30 years in business, Manufacturing Day has special meaning for the visual communications brand. In 1985 FASTSIGNS began with roots in manufacturing by providing next-day vinyl graphics and today not only continues to manufacture a wide array of signs and visual graphics, but also counts thousands of companies in this important industry as clients.

“Manufacturing is so important to our economy,” explained Catherine Monson, CEO of FASTSIGNS International, Inc. “From the food we eat and the shoes we wear to the homes we live in and the signs in front of our businesses, the manufacturing industry fuels our lives.”

The 560 independently owned and operated FASTSIGNS locations design, produce and install a wide variety of signs and visual graphics for manufacturing businesses including Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and braille signage, fleet and building décor graphics, safety and identification signs, and promotional and labeling graphics.

“We’re proud of our own company ties to manufacturing, as well as our role in working closely with many manufacturing businesses, helping customers with everything from compliant signage to branding and employee communication,” explains Monson. “We help dispel the misconception that manufacturing is a dull career path by finding new ways to communicate the creativity, innovation and modern, technology-driven aspects behind this industry.”

Beyond the conventional signage needs, FASTSIGNS has worked with manufacturing companies and facilities to extend branding into unexpected places such as vinyl wraps on machinery and floor graphics on warehouse floors.

The first Friday of every October marks Manufacturing Day, an event designed to shine a light on the overlooked industry that supports 17.4 million jobs in the United States. To learn more about Manufacturing Day or to see what local events will be taking place, visit
