Extending Branding Elements to Interior Décor Promotes Culture and Engagement

Author: Christina Krenek

(CARROLLTON, Texas) — Smart brands extend the power of their brand to their interior décor to communicate with their most important audiences – their employees, visitors, students, patients and customers. Using powerful visual graphics including the company logo, brand colors, key messages, and photos of products and services in action, companies can educate about and promote what they do, as well as create, communicate and reinforce a culture.

“As companies and organizations seek to create more collaborative work spaces and more memorable experiences in their locations, having a facility that reflects your brand personality throughout the working environment can make a big impact on  your employees, customers and visitors,” said Drue Townsend, Senior Vice President of Marketing of FASTSIGNS International, Inc. “From dimensional logos in the reception area to imaged walls in hallways, and wrapped tables in conference rooms to digital displays in high traffic areas, the possibilities are endless when it comes to using the power of visual graphics to extend branding to décor.”

For instance, Tulane University’s athletics department used branded signs and interior décor graphics to inspire team spirit, attract new recruits and create an interactive community for students, coaches and faculty. The team logo is displayed on floors, walls, counters and ceilings as well as incorporated on the directional and wayfinding signs. Floor-to-ceiling wall murals and canvas prints reflect the department’s mission and create an empowering environment.

In the case of a leading education finance company in the United Kingdom, HCSS Education reinforces their brand personality and core values throughout their office space using both visually appealing and functional décor graphics, such as dimensional letters, wall murals, privacy window graphics and wayfinding signs.

Another way to extend branding and enhance interior décor is through digital signs. Whether it’s video walls, single-wall displays, menu boards or kiosks, digital signage helps keep employees, visitors and customers engaged.
