Local FASTSIGNS® Franchisee Acquires New Manufacturing Facility

(OAKLAND, Calif.) May 4, 2017—Local franchisee Linda Fong, owner of two FASTSIGNS^® locations in Oakland and Hayward, has acquired a centralized production and manufacturing facility at the Radio Lofts property located at 530 E 8th St. in Oakland.

Linda Fong’s purchase of the two contiguous commercial condo units totaling 2,992 square-feet located in the primarily residential property follows the trend of integrating living and working environments. Radio Lofts was one of the first live-work building concepts in Oakland. Originally built in 1955 as Miller’s Radio & Television Supply, the steel-reinforced concrete building has since been converted into residential condos and commercial space.

This acquisition now puts the total square footage of Fong’s FASTSIGNS^® centers’ footprint at nearly 7,400 square feet between her three facilities.

“Our new production space will improve our workflow and accommodate new equipment in Oakland, and allows us to increase efficiencies with a dedicated, climate-controlled facility in Hayward to further develop our vehicle fleet graphics division,” Fong said.

“I grew up in Oakland and have owned my Oakland FASTSIGNS^® center on Franklin Street since 1995. I am excited about the changes we have seen in the East Bay over the past two decades and especially within the last five years; we are extremely grateful to be a part of it! Our new production facility allows for easy access between our two centers and is less than a mile from the much anticipated Brooklyn Basin redevelopment project.”
