Custom Visuals Take the Reins in Horsepark’s Makeover
The Challenge:
Del Mar Horsepark, a sprawling 65-acre venue for equestrian competition closed during the pandemic, leaving its arenas and stables looking drab and unexciting. Following a major remodel conducted under new management by HITS, LLC, there was an urgent need to make the venue fan-ready for a crowd of 10,000 coming to a premier event opening day. The challenge was to implement a complete branding overhaul that adhered to HITS’ branding guidelines, showcased sponsors effectively and improved wayfinding throughout the park—all within tight deadlines of just two weeks.
The Solution:
FASTSIGNS collaborated with the customer team to expertly manage the comprehensive sign project while maintaining brand quality standards. The bold signage strategy included over 1,000 feet of sponsorship banners, 160 thirty-foot mesh banners and over 80 signicade frames with 300 coroplast inserts for navigation. Customization was key to amplify visibility for the sponsors. Over 60 u-channel posts with aluminum signs and flexible frames were used for sponsor IDs. Over 50 custom flags were created and flown on flagpoles provided by FASTSIGNS. The stables received special attention with over 800 flexible frames designed to hold information cards for each horse, ensuring that every stable was easily identifiable.
The Result:
The Del Mar Horsepark visual transformation was spectacular, heralding a new era for this prominent and well-known venue. New signage created a serious wow factor and made an impression on the horse enthusiast attendees, participants and sponsors.
