FASTSIGNS® of Vancouver, BC celebrates 25 years in business this year. Franchisee Paul LeBlanc originally joined the FASTSIGNS network because his graphics background was a fit, he enjoyed the business to business sales and he was impressed by the support he received from the corporate team.
The signage industry has changed drastically during the last few decades. Paul shared that “it’s much more interesting. All we could do initially was cut out little pieces of vinyl and apply them. Most projects were quickly completed in one to two days. Now we manage large projects and manufacture giant prints with large full-colour printers. It's truly a new and exciting world!”
One of the accomplishments LeBlanc touts are his many long-term employees on staff including two who have been there for 20 years and two nearing 10 years of service. Attributing his team’s success over the years to a variety of factors, he highlights their responsiveness, professional attitude, keen attention to detail and effective communication. In addition, these signage experts on his team are all dedicated team players who have a deep knowledge of their trade. Even more importantly, his team members live their core values such as integrity every single day.
Out of the many projects that he and his team have had the opportunity to create, an amazing one that Paul and his team love to share includes the wide-format banners that hang outside the Vancouver Art Gallery. “I feel fortunate to have received this job and to contribute in our own special way to the culture of Vancouver.” While they’ve continued to produce an array of signs during the last year, the FASTSIGNS team looks forward to a time when they can jump back into the event and tourism graphics industry.
After many years in business, Paul LeBlanc has collected a reservoir of both wisdom and experience he can now share with other business owners. “People buy from people they know and trust,” said LeBlanc. “Get out there and get to know people, and be worthy of their trust.”
