FASTSIGNS® of Washington, DC and Howard James were recently featured in a news segment on ABC 7 News. The segment highlighted the youth summer program kicking in the DC area.
This event, which was the opportunity to announce the full opening of the summer jobs program and the re-opening of swimming pools, included the mayor and other cabinet members in addition to Josh Bell, a Washington Nationals player.
Through the summer jobs program, DC Employment Services places youths from 14 to 24 around the city in various jobs. The entire program puts 13,000 in jobs, and two young people in the program are working with franchisee Howard James in his local FASTSIGNS center. James was in the program himself many years ago, and he is thrilled to be giving back to the community through this summer employment opportunity.
