Local FASTSIGNS Supports Beckley Art Center

FASTSIGNS® of Beckley, WV recently donated time, talent, tools and finances to support local arts in their community by helping the Beckley Art Center upgrade their existing exterior sign.

The center had received a grant for the purchase of 2 - 7' x 4' signs, yet the installation wasn't included, leaving the organization short on funds to complete the project. FASTSIGNS could see that this would beautify the community and draw attention to one of the many wonderful places in Raleigh County. Deciding to help, the team at FASTSIGNS took a vote and selected the organization as a recipient of the Beckley FASTSIGNS Cares Community Giveback program.

“Robert Moore and the Beckley Art Center have impacted each individual that works in our center in one way or another, so it was a no brainer for us,” said Billie Jackson, franchisee at FASTSIGNS® of Beckley, WV. “They are doing so many great things to make a difference in the community, and it was time for us to step up and help them in our own way!”

They notified Robert Moore, Executive Director at Beckley Art Center, that they had selected the organization as a recipient to cover their sign installation.

"The opportunity to purchase our new sign was first made possible by Beckley Area Foundation," said Robert Moore. "The FASTSIGNS donation helped to complete the project, so this was truly a community effort. The Board of Directors and I are excited that community members are supporting our organization and the Arts in our area."

The center’s two-fold mission is to stimulate interest in the Arts within the community and encourage the development of artistic talent within the group and the community through education. The sign will be installed on or by July 14, 2020.

“With our community giveback program, not only do I get to help a business, program or event in our community, I also witness the pride it gives my team,” said Jackson. “It also boosts morale in our community when customers and businesses experience community members getting involved in the things that matter to them. I hope this encourages everyone to support local businesses that support our community.”
