The team at FASTSIGNS® of Burlington, ON is helping Habitat for Humanity Halton-Mississauga build a 13-unit townhome community that will give hardworking, low-income families a place to call home.
“We have always believed it’s important to give back to the community you live and do business in,” said franchisee Diane Henderson, who owns FASTSIGNS® of Burlington, ON with her husband, Brian. “We’re excited to participate in the Habitat for Humanity build days. This experience will give us the opportunity to work together and make a direct impact on families in our community.”
Located on the northeast corner of Plains Road East and Glendor Avenue, the development features one-, two- and three-bedroom units, 12 of which are three-stories. Construction began in 2014 and dozens of local companies and hundreds of volunteers have already donated their time to help with the project. The goal for the townhomes to be complete is September 2016.
FASTSIGNS® of Burlington, ON employees will participate in two build days on Aug. 4 and Aug. 11, helping in any way they can to get the homes move-in ready.
“We can’t wait to see the smiles on the families’ faces when the homes are completed,” Henderson said.
