Perforated Vinyl

What:

  • Perforated vinyl is also known as One-Way vinyl or Privacy film
  • It’s a printable vinyl with permanent adhesive on the back
  • Perforated vinyl is applied to exterior windows and works like a car tint. When the light outside is brighter than inside, you can see through it from the inside, and you can see the print from the outside without seeing inside.
  • There are several types of perforated vinyl based on the holes size in the media film.
    • 50/50 is used for vehicles to give maximum visibility to the outside
    • 70/30 is used for window graphics
    • 80/20 is used for more lighted rooms to give better privacy and sharper print.

Why:

  • Perforated vinyl is used on vehicles and windows to show a print without blocking the light and view to the outside.
  • It gives privacy to offices and rooms.
  • Being able to cover the whole windows with a great design and graphics without blocking sunlight and visibility is a great advantage for perforated window film.
  • It’s perfect for windows for store fronts, commercial plazas, apartment complexes, amenities, medical clinics and so much more.

How:

  • It is best to install perforated vinyl by a professional.
  • Make sure that no debris builds up when removing if you are planning on reinstalling.
  • It’s installed on the glass from the outside.
  • Perforated vinyl can be laminated with a clear laminate to extend the life of the film and prevent fading while also helping keep the graphics form collecting dust.
