Together the Lubbock Community Will Arise

(LUBBOCK, Texas) June 25, 2020- FASTSIGNS® of Lubbock, TX, a locally owned and operated sign and graphics company that recently moved to a new location, has witnessed how the FASTSIGNS business model can thrive under unprecedented circumstances. 

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the team, along with other FASTSIGNS centers across the country, quickly switched gears to provide PPE and signage solutions for their customers and community.

At first, they offered free signage solutions for restaurants by providing cleaning and safety recommendations from the CDC. After that, they provided wayfinding and informative signs to help restaurant owners bring in some business. 

“We needed to make sure they had customer visibility with concise directions on how to receive their services,” said Ben Leser with FASTSIGNS® of Lubbock, TX. “As the city started to open back up, more signage was necessary to make sure staff and customers interacted safely.”

Caprock, Orlandos and Jazz are some of the hometown favorites with whom FASTSIGNS® of Lubbock, TX partnered. The team of sign experts also created social distancing floor stickers for Boys & Girls clubs and Varsity Bookstore. 

In addition, they provided safety partitions for businesses that experience close customer contact such as Farmers Insurance, Chase Bank and Case Ole to name a few. Intubation shields were provided to UMC as well as Covenant locations in Plainview, Brownfield and Lubbock, allowing medical staff to safely interact with patients, especially those with COVID symptoms. 

As a result of being published in the chamber PPE resources for the InThisTogetherLBK handbook,FASTSIGNS received an order for 1,000 masks that ultimately enabled Frenship ISD to have an outdoor graduation. FASTSIGNS has heavily discounted yard signage for graduates, birthdays and teacher appreciation.

“We are currently producing additional signage for Varsity Bookstore. The signage is for a temporary location for online and curbside ordering of text books for the Fall semester for Texas Tech University. Signs include window decals, plasticade directional signs and parking signs with instructions for customers.”

Finally, on a lighter note, the graphic designer at FASTSIGNS created clever stickers to help diffuse some of the tension and anxiety felt as a result of the pandemic. The complimentary stickers highlight lighthearted ideas such as Charmagedon and I survived the Lubbocalypse.
