San Ramon, Calif., October 17, 2005 – Local residents Wade and Ruby Luckhardt are the new owners and managers of the FASTSIGNS® sign and graphics center at 2551 San Ramon Valley Blvd., Suite 113. The center is located next to Crow Canyon Cinema.
“We liked the idea of owning our own business and we knew we wanted to stay in the local area where we have our roots,” they said. “We found that FASTSIGNS® would provide us with the support of a major corporation, but allow us to have freedom as the center’s owners.”
The Luckhardts recently completed a three-week new owner training course at FASTSIGNS International, Inc.’s headquarters in Carrollton, Texas. FASTSIGNS International is the worldwide franchisor of FASTSIGNS® sign and graphic centers; there are more than 465 locations in six countries.
Wade has 20 years of experience in sales and marketing for Fortune 500 companies. Ruby’s background consists of retail management and real estate. In the center, Wade will handle sales and production, while Ruby will be responsible for accounting and inside sales.
The couple plan to add large-format, full color digital printing equipment to the center, which will be used to produce customers’ trade show graphics, vehicle graphics, advertising and promotional materials and other full color signs and graphics. “The San Ramon-Danville area is our community where we have lived for many years,” said Luckhardt. “We want the community to know we are here to provide them excellent service for all their needs.”
“We have a great, experienced team who take pride in their work. They’ve remained in place during this transition in ownership, which Wade and I really appreciate,” said Ruby Luckhardt.
The new owners belong to the San Ramon Chamber of Commerce and Danville Chamber of Commerce. They have a daughter who is a freshman at UC Davis, who graduated from San Ramon Valley High School, and a son who attends college in Connecticut. The Luckhardts are active in local sports and community organizations.
