Marissa Shares Business Advice with Podcast Host

Marissa was interviewed about her impactful communication solutions on the I AM CEO Podcast with host, Gresham W. Harkless, Jr. Marissa shared more about the background of her career, that began on the West Coast before she moved to the East Coast to work in D.C. Eventually, she got her MBA at UVA, and she wanted to find something that would allow her to grow. FASTSIGNS was the perfect opportunity for her, and this is her 3rd year being a business owner in a franchise system.

Marissa shared that their goal as visual communication experts is to effectively get a business message out. They suggest ideal products and tailor solutions from the creation to installation, everything from yard signs to electrical signage.

When asked about her secret sauce, Marissa revealed that it’s about community, even giving back in their community, and that they treat everyone the same. “People tell us they keep coming back, because we’re just so stinkin’ friendly,” said Marissa Eyon. Their friendly culture is something that sets them apart, and the host relayed that we often forget about the human touch in business.

When asked about her “business hack,” Marissa said it’s all about the habit, and she loves the book, The Power of Habit. She also shared that her key word is Flexibility in business. Life does not always go as planned, and it helps you ride the ups and downs and keep your cool. Marissa relates to flexibility, because it can help you pivot for the market, whether it be your product or delivery or your people. When asked what it means to be a CEO, she said she values the sense of responsibility to her local community as well as her employees. She loves providing amazing jobs to help her employees grow, and she enjoys walking alongside them in their journey.
