Purpose: Amenities signage keeps shared spaces organized, safe, and user-friendly—whether it’s the pool, gym, clubhouse, dog park, or business center. These signs improve resident experience, help enforce rules, and ensure compliance with local laws, particularly in highliability areas like pools and fitness centers.

Pool Signage:

Pools are a major attraction—and a major liability. In North Carolina, pool signage is regulated by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) and must include specific safety notices.

Required Pool Signs in NC Include:

• “No Lifeguard on Duty” (if applicable): Must be clearly posted with letters at least 4 inches tall.
• “Children Should Not Use the Pool Without Adult Supervision”
• Emergency Contact Signage: Include the address of the facility and instructions to call 911.
• Maximum Occupancy Limit: Based on pool size and posted at pool entrance.
• No Diving / Shallow Water Signs: Required if depth is less than 5 feet.
• Pool Rules Sign: Typically includes restrictions on glass, pets, running, and food.
• Shower Before Entering: A common requirement for compliance and sanitation.

Fitness Center:

• Name Sign: Clearly label the gym or workout room entrance.
• Usage Guidelines: Age restrictions, hours of operation, and user liability language.
• Safety Warnings: Equipment use disclaimers, emergency contact info, or “Use at Your Own Risk” notices.
• Motivational or Branded Graphics: Add personality with wall graphics or custom artwork.

Pet Amenities (Dog Parks & Pet Stations)

• Rules Signs: Include leash requirements, pet waste cleanup rules, and operating hours.
