Chris Torres, an Outside Sales Professional at FASTSIGNS® of Lancaster, PA, recently received the Rookie of the Year Award at the 2020 FASTSIGNS Outside Sales Summit held virtually. This award recognizes an Outside Sales Professional who was hired in 2018 or 2019 with the highest total sales in their first full 12 months of employment.
In addition, Angela Allison, also an Outside Sales Professional at FASTSIGNS® of Lancaster, PA, received the Platinum Sales Award for generating record sales. With over 735 independently owned and operated FASTSIGNS centers in nine countries worldwide, 17 Outside Sales Professionals in the network received this award. Torres also received the Gold Sales Award for generating record sales. 19 Outside Sales Professionals in the network received this award. Each award designates specific tiers of sales achievements during July 1, 2019, and June 30, 2020.
Torres, who attended school for Molecular Biology at Eurofins/Lancaster Labs, was formerly working as an Analytical Chemist. As someone who loved being around people, he realized that the lab environment was not an ideal fit for his personality. At the time, Torres had a friend who worked at FASTSIGNS® of Lancaster, PA, and when a position opened up, he applied and was hired by former franchisee, Clint Ehlers.
Torres worked in Inside Sales for a year and slowly began taking on more responsibilities, which resulted in a hybrid role of both Inside and Outside Sales. A year and half later, he became a full-time Outside Sales Professional under the direction of team members, Angela Allison and Kelli Livelsberger. Currently working on a COVID related sign project for his alma mater, Millersville University of Pennsylvania, he loves knowing that what he’s doing is actually making a difference for students on campus for the foreseeable future.

Torres shared several lessons he has learned from his mentors along the way: Always strive for more, ask questions and actively listen to the responses and finally, remember to always be gracious and thankful for your clients and team.
“Without my clients, my team and my boss, I wouldn’t be where I am today,” said Torres. “Wes is a compassionate and caring leader, and his attitude makes us want to work harder for him.”
