“About 90 percent of local school children in the area participate in free or reduced lunch programs during the year, which makes summer the hungriest time of year as kids lose one or two meals a day when school is out,” said Ben Wilson, President of FASTSIGNS® of Norcross, GA. “And to help, we are collecting non-perishable items, such as boxed foods, canned goods and snacks, to donate to our local elementary school and middle school.”
Through May 18, people can drop off non-perishable food donations at FASTSIGNS® of Norcross, GA’s center located at 6760 Jimmy Carter Blvd., Suite 135. The team at FASTSIGNS will deliver the donations to Peachtree Elementary and Summerour Middle School on May 19.
“With the community’s help, our goal is to help feed between 1,000 to 1,500 children this summer,” Wilson said. “This is a huge undertaking and our goal is to help as many children as possible. As a business owner, we’re always looking for ways to give back in any way we can and continue to make our community great.”
