FASTSIGNS of Seattle, WA - Queen Anne Now Open

(SEATTLE, WA) April 21, 2021 - FASTSIGNS® of Seattle, WA - Queen Anne, located at 920 Dexter Avenue N, just a stone’s throw from Lake Union and the Space Needle, is now open for business. The center - a proudly woman-owned business - is under the direction of franchisees, Jennifer and Mark Chisholm. Rounding out the team are Mallori Pryse, the Visual Communication Specialist, and Laura Rasmussen, the center’s Graphic Designer/Production Specialist.

The talented new team came together in an unorthodox way. Because of the challenges with COVID-19, Jennifer and Mark completed the entire hiring and training process virtually, only meeting their employees in person for the first time on the day the center opened. Despite these challenges, the team hit the ground running and has already earned multiple 5-star Google reviews from happy customers.

"Our people are the life of our business,” said Jennifer Chisholm. “I remember hearing FASTSIGNS CEO Catherine Monson say, ‘This business is built on people,’ and we’ve learned how true that is. Without that piece of the puzzle, we could never be successful.”

Wanting the freedom of owning and operating their own business, the couple evaluated many franchise opportunities.

“When thinking about franchises, most people probably think of the fast-food industry, but it’s amazing how many different franchises exist. They’re a huge employer and a very dynamic part of the greater economy,” said Jennifer. “When deciding which franchise to purchase, we tried to balance various factors, such as cost, the potential for success and whether it was something that interested us.”

After months of deliberation and research, FASTSIGNS was the clear front-runner. What sold them was the great leadership team, a network with a track record of success, in-depth training, and long-term support.

"All the franchisees we spoke with gave honest, realistic reviews of the business without any sugar-coating,” said Chisholm. “We knew that if we put in the work, FASTSIGNS would be there to back us up.”

Having just been through the opening process themselves, the team in Queen Anne offers a 10% discount to new, local businesses in need of signs and graphics. “When you’re starting a new business, every little bit helps,” continued Chisholm. “Our team is incredibly creative. We like to say that no job is too big or too small, so whether a business wants to spruce up its windows, wrap a vehicle or get some construction signs made, we’re happy to help.”

“One other thing that we’re truly proud of is our collaboration with One Tree Planted,” noted Chisholm. “We’re concerned about sustainability and environmental impact, so we decided from day one to plant one tree for every project completed. We’d like nothing more than to help plant an entire forest.”

This community-minded business has also joined the Seattle Chamber of Commerce. The center is open from Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday by appointment. To see some of the team’s latest projects, check out the center’s Instagram and Facebook pages.
