(SNELLVILLE, Ga.) Feb. 28, 2018—FASTSIGNS® of Snellville, a local sign and visual graphics company owned by Kareen and Edward MacFarlane, was named a runner-up for the “Show Us How You Care” Award at the 2018 FASTSIGNS Annual Convention. A part of the FASTSIGNS Cares philanthropic initiative, this recognition acknowledges FASTSIGNS franchisees who demonstrate significant charitable giving efforts in their communities throughout the year.

In conjunction with the award, a donation of $250 was made on behalf of FASTSIGNS of Snellville to a local charity of their choice: Special Kneads & Treats Bakery, a nonprofit specialty goods company that provides employment and learning opportunities for adults with special needs while serving children and those in need treats and cakes for special occasions.

“As local business owners, we believe it’s so important to be involved and give back to the community in any way we can,” said franchisee Edward MacFarlane. “Whether it’s through signage donations, event sponsorships, monetary donations or volunteering, our team is proud to work on the various charitable projects that we provide and make an impact in the community.”

Local organizations and philanthropies FASTSIGNS of Snellville has worked with include Special Kneads & Treats Bakery, Gwinnett Life Run, Creative Enterprises and Georgia Manufacturing Alliance’s Rise Against Hunger, among other fundraising events and school groups.

FASTSIGNS of Snellville also provides “Welcome Home” banners for military servicemen and women returning from duty and supports the Barrow County Veterans Resource Center.

“We are truly grateful for the opportunities to be involved in our community and the tremendous support from our customers for making it all possible,” MacFarlane said.
