FASTSIGNS of Asheville Donates Check to United Way Asheville Buncombe County

FASTSIGNS® of Asheville was recognized at the 2021 Virtual FASTSIGNS®/SIGNWAVE® International Convention for their contributions to their community as a part of the FASTSIGNS Cares program. Because of this, they were gifted with $1000.00 to donate to their charity of choice.

In 2020, the team at FASTSIGNS® of Asheville was closely involved with supporting United Way Asheville Buncombe County [UWABC], who they have supported for many years to help those in need in the community.

They continue to believe the UWABC's community-based operations reach neighbors that are looking and striving to improve their lives. UWABC's broad reach and cooperative programs partner with other community-based NGOs and government relief operations in a way that greatly leverages any contribution or support FASTSIGNS can give to the community.

One such example was FASTSIGNS® of Ashevilles' donation of 1500 Masks last Spring when supplies of this PPE were critically short. Their first call was to UWABC to confirm the best channel to get these masks into the hands of those in greatest need. UWABC was already working with the Buncombe County COVID-19 Taskforce and immediately informed them that the Task Force would best direct the PPE to the right organizations.

“It was rewarding to our team to meet with our local Director of Buncombe County EMS, Taylor Jones, as he and others gladly accepted a portion of the mask donation last Spring,” said Ric Davenport, franchisee at FASTSIGNS® of Asheville. “FASTSIGNS looks forward to supporting UWABC with donations, event signs and graphics as we continue to celebrate opportunities and programs helping those in need. We were so grateful for the recognition for our work and FASTSIGNS Internationals' generous gift that we, in turn, donated to UWABC.”
