We are very excited to shine a client spotlight on Connor Simpson. Connor has been working very hard on the opening of the new exhibit called The Dinosaur Drive-Thru exclusively at Bingemans. I had the pleasure to not only speak with Connor about this new exhibit, I also had the pleasure to tour the exhibit before it was open to the public.
Question One: Tell me a little bit about yourself! How long have you been with the company? What do you like to do outside of work?
Hi! I'm Connor Simpson, Graphic Designer at THEMUSEUM for the past 5 years. When I'm not designing and creating for work, I'm often illustrating for fun or in the kitchen cooking up a new curry dish.

Question Two: Tell us a little bit about The Dinosaur Drive-Thru.
This one-of-a-kind experience lets visitors take a drive where the dinosaurs roar! It is a unique drive-thru experience at Bingemans that places you and your family right into the Mesozoic Era exploring the wondrous dinosaurs that once roamed our Earth. The Dinosaur Drive-Thru offers exciting family fun while being educational, thanks to the informative audio track through your car stereo while driving through the park. Best of all, it's a COVID-safe experience that is fun for the whole family.

Question Three: How were you involved with this project?
I designed the branding and created the graphics for the vast number of signs needed for this Dinosaur Drive-Thru experience. We're hosting this as a pop-up off-site exhibition which spans quite a bit of space, so there was an incredible amount of work needed to make it all come together. From 8' x 8' signs to small 24" x 18" signs, this project had them all.
Question Four: What are some of your highlights of the project so far?
I love creating rectangles... Also, working on such a unique experience is always fun and keeps my job interesting!
Question Five: Were there any challenges? How did you overcome them?
Working with an off-site partner is always a challenge to ensure there is no miscommunication and that all edits are accounted for. Even the sheer number of signs and edits created a challenge in making sure we had everything we needed! Lots of meetings, emails and double-checking work is key. Actually, waiting for these files to upload to WeTransfer was the most difficult part.
Questions Six: How did FASTSIGNS help you achieve your goals?
Being able to create massive banners and giant signs for the entrance and exit of the experience is simply not something we could do in-house. The signs all look great and give such a professional feel to the exhibition.
