FASTSIGNS of Mobile Assists Those in Need With Feeding the Gulf Coast

Author: FASTSIGNS® of Mobile, AL

FASTSIGNS® of Mobile, AL recently assisted Feeding the Gulf Coast in their mission to provide nutritious food to meet the challenge of feeding people who are hungry as a result of systemic poverty, personal crisis or disaster by fully wrapping a 48 foot trailer used to house food and supplies.

“We have been a partner with Feeding the Gulf Coast for years, and I was thrilled to help them once again,” said Pauline McKean, franchisee at FASTSIGNS® of Mobile, AL and FASTSIGNS of the Eastern Shore. “We are incredibly grateful for their trust and partnership.”

After the design was fully complete, Feeding the Gulf Coast was short to complete the full scope of their project. Wanting to help, Pauline donated the money to make up the difference.

“Their look is distinct, and I didn’t want them to have to reduce that because of budget,” said McKean.

Under a tight deadline due to increased demand for food assistance, FASTSIGNS knew they would need more space than they currently had to install the graphics. They began calling people they knew for support, and amazingly, one of their contacts at the airport put them in touch with Darryl Roberts who owns a 50,000 square foot facility.

“I’ve been blessed, so of course I was happy to help,” said Darryl Roberts, who offered the space free of charge for FASTSIGNS to complete the project. FASTSIGNS was able to deliver the wrapped trailer within their timeline.

“One of the reasons we decided to wrap our fleet was for brand recognition. We feel as if our trucks are rolling billboards in the communities we serve,” said Amanda Young, Marketing and Communications Manager at Feeding the Gulf Coast. “We have noticed that since we rebranded our fleet, the trucks help individuals recognize that we are serving their community.”

FASTSIGNS® of Mobile, AL has been involved with Feeding the Gulf Coast for many years back to when the organization was formerly Bay Area Food Bank until they rebranded in 2016 as Feeding the Gulf Coast, a local organization under the Feeding America initiative.

"Feeding the Gulf Coast first partnered with FASTSIGNS in 2016 when the organization underwent a rebrand,” said Amanda Young, Marketing and Communications Manager at Feeding the Gulf Coast. “FASTSIGNS did a terrific job rewrapping our fleet of trucks. Since then, they have continued to deliver excellent service and have helped our brand shine throughout the communities we serve.”

FASTSIGNS is involved in a variety of ways including creating barrel wraps for their food drives, designing and installing vehicle wraps with another coming soon and sponsoring their annual event, Chef Challenge.
