New Business in Community Despite Pandemic
(CHICAGO, IL) November 18, 2020 - Despite a challenging business landscape today, FASTSIGNS® of Chicago IL - South Loop, a locally owned and operated sign and graphics company, opened. The center is owned by Tony McHale and is located at 1315 S Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL, 60605. Set next to Museum Campus, FASTSIGNS is located in the heart of the fastest growing part of the great city of Chicago. Just minutes from McCormick place, the center is within walking distance to the Loop and Grant and Millennium Parks.
A native of Baltimore, McHale moved to Chicago in 1999 and has spent the last ten years selling hamburgers, ice cream and chocolate milk to Jewel and Mariano's. McHale is proud of the team he has assembled and is excited to get started on his new adventure.
“After 30 years in Corporate America I decided that it was now or never to become the entrepreneur that I had always said I wanted to be. I started researching 100 franchise opportunities and slowly whittled them down until I came to the conclusion that FASTSIGNS offered me the best opportunity,” said McHale. “I was impressed with the amount of support they offered both before you opened and once you started your business. I was looking for something that was focused primarily on business to business, and FASTSIGNS was able to meet that need also.”
The team at FASTSIGNS is composed of Todd Kibbey as the Visual Communications Specialist, Elijah Mendez as Graphic Designer and Sean Banaszkiewicz. Todd Kibbey has spent over 30 years in sales and marketing, and he hopes to bring his years of experience to the team, building the center into a first class franchise for others to emulate. Early in his career he worked in the printing industry with Oce Document Printing Systems, selling small format equipment. With stints in the training space, he has also sold IT Outsourcing services and of all things, football helmets.
Elijah Mendez, a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago, with a BA in Graphic Design, has spent five years in the industry freelancing and working as a full-time designer being exposed to different outlets of work. Prior to FASTSIGNS, he worked for a nonprofit where he was the only designer, and managed design, print, production, photography and website management. Sean Banaszkiewicz, born and raised in the City of Chicago, is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago. He is excited to bring his 20 years of business experience to the world of signs and graphics.
FASTSIGNS is excited to join the Southside Chamber of Commerce as well the Near South Planning Board and contribute to the amazing growth on the south side of the city of Chicago. Tony is also a member of the Business Executive Association and Rotary/One.
FASTSIGNS® of Chicago IL - South Loop is open from Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday by appointment only.
