Local FASTSIGNS® Owner Selected to Participate in the 2015 SBA Emerging Leaders Initiative

Author: FASTSIGNS® of Washington, DC

Howard James, owner of FASTSIGNS® of Washington, DC, was selected to participate in the 2015 Emerging Leaders Initiative, sponsored by the Small Business Administration. Out of 120 applicants, only 40 business leaders were selected to participate in the program.

The SBA Emerging Leaders Initiative is a seven month training program that focuses on executives of businesses poised for growth in historically challenged communities. During the program, participants are given the opportunity to work with experienced mentors, attend specialized workshops and develop connections with peers, city leaders and the financial community.

“I’m honored to be selected to participate in the SBA Emerging Leaders Initiative and I look forward to the opportunity to exchange ideas with other CEOs and learn how to develop my business,” James said. “Even though FASTSIGNS® of Washington, DC. ranks in the top of the FASTSIGNS network for sales volume, I want to take my business even further. Over the next seven months, I hope to reenergize with new ideas and establish a strong three-year outlook for my FASTSIGNS business. In becoming a stronger business owner, I hope to strengthen and inspire others in the community as well.”

Howard James opened FASTSIGNS® of Washington, DC in 2007 with his wife, Dana. Located at 617-F Rhode Island Ave. NE, the center provides comprehensive visual communications solutions, including wall, window and floor graphics, architectural signs, trade show displays, wayfinding solutions, vehicle wraps, digital signage and more.
