FASTSIGNS® of Washington, DC Hosted Grand Re-Opening With FASTSIGNS CEO

FASTSIGNS® of Washington, DC recently hosted a grand re-opening event on Thursday, December 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in their new showroom located at 2859 V. St NE in DC.

FASTSIGNS International CEO, Catherine Monson, as seen on “Undercover Boss,” attended for a meet and greet as well as Mark Jameson, Executive Vice President of Franchise Support & Development.

Other influential attendees included Kyle Todd, Executive Director of Rhode Island Ave NE Main Street and Bladensburg Main Street, Council member, Kenyan McDuffie and Robert Cresanti, CEO of the International Franchise Association. Attendees also had the opportunity to tour the facility and experience the wide range of capabilities that FASTSIGNS can do while also enjoying sign fabrication in action.ribbon cutting

 

Food was provided by Jody’s Place, a local restaurant managed by up-and-coming caterer, Carl Dyson, who named the restaurant after his mother. They served a delicious spread of brisket, salad, wings and more.

Entertainment that included classic R&B and Soul music for the event was provided by three members of the Grandmothers Association of Washington. Angela Gray, General Manager at FASTSIGNS® of Washington, DC, is involved with the group and performed as well.

Several team members at the center have been employed through a local organization called Project Empowerment. During the event, fellow team member, David Crocker, announced an award given by Project Empowerment to Production Manager, Antonio Hicklin, for the great work he has done at FASTSIGNS.grand re-opening

 

Franchisee, Howard James, came to FASTSIGNS after spending 17 years teaching as a theater production professor at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts. Opening his own franchise business with his wife, Dana, in 2007, their FASTSIGNS location has received numerous awards and recognition for top performance.re-opening ceremony
