(KANKAKEE, IL) January 24, 2019—Local signs and visual graphics provider, FASTSIGNS® of Kankakee, IL, was the Runner Up in the Wide-Format & Signage magazine’s Project of the Year Awards at the 2019 FASTSIGNS International Convention for their work with Hoekstra Transportation and Riverside Healthcare. Because of the quality and comprehensive nature of each project, they were both selected for this award.
Hoekstra Transportation is a regional carrier located in Kankakee, Illinois, just 60 miles south of Chicago. After Hoekstra Transportation moved to a new location, their goal was to build a state-of-the-art facility to attract high-end customers and hire high-quality drivers. To provide strong branding in alliance with Hoekstra’s vision, FASTSIGNS provided an array of product materials and services including custom made aluminum canopies, a large aluminum sign box with raised text and graphics, murals throughout the building, branded wayfinding and ADA signage and wall decor.

The second project that gained recognition at the convention was one focusing on Riverside Healthcare, an award winning healthcare system with many locations throughout the region. Familiar with their branding guidelines, FASTSIGNS was able to create a consistent solution using wayfinding signage, ADA signage, murals, channel letters, refinished outdoor signs, and converting signs to LED lighting.
