Meet Our Team

Ted Schouten, owner of FASTSIGNS® London since 1997, enjoyed owning and successfully operating DeSigns Your Sign Source for 15 years before converting to the London FASTSIGNS center. His unique and creative problem-solving skills coupled with a solid technical know-how and eye for detail are key elements to the company. Involved in the London Chamber of Commerce and the Sign Association of Canada, Ted is often described as honest, straight-forward and industrious. As a dedicated and hands on owner, he works in all areas from conception, manufacturing, fabrication and install. Ensuring the client is “More than” pleased is his number one priority.

Lynda has been the silent partner for many years but has taken on the bookkeeping role for a number of years and most recently Business Development. She has transferred her skills of managing a large household over to the business, ensuring everyone gets paid, that the coffee room is stocked and occasionally utilizing family recipes for team lunches.

Happily married for over 31 years, Ted and Lynda enjoy spending time with their eight children and several grandchildren, spending time on their boat and exploring the outdoors in God’s country. They are both active in their church where Ted serves as an elder and at their local schools where Lynda serves on the Board of Directors.

As 2020 moves forward, Ted and Lynda are aiming to develop FASTSIGNS® LONDON's capacity to operate as "the silent department" in our customers' business or organization by raising their visibility through a comprehensive, creative, customized, results-based approach that directly results in success for them. Having a growth mindset is something we strive for, both for our team and for our customers. For Rachel, working at Fastsigns London is an exciting, challenging and creative environment to be a part of. The opportunity to work with her team mates, business owners, agencies and individuals to help bring visual communications to life is what drives her every single day. Growing up, Rachel would help her grandmother from time to time in their sign shop which sparked her interest in working in the signage industry. After completing the Graphic Design program at Fanshawe College, it only took a few years to circle back into the sign industry where she's always felt at home.

Starting out as a CSR/Designer 5 years ago, Rachel has grown with the company and is now currently Centre Manager assisting with the day to day operations of the shop. Outside of the shop, she and her husband enjoy spending time with family, going out to the movies, gaming and travelling.  

Spencer joined the FASTSIGNS London team in 2019 with a creative mind and the technical skills to match!
What he likes most about working at FASTSIGNS is the ability to have access to a wealth of experience and wisdom, with each of our team members' respective niches coming together to provide excellent and comprehensive services to the community! It feels really good to be involved in a supporting role for local businesses and individuals-- it is a very rewarding place to be working.

Working at FASTSIGNS has encouraged him to be organized and more mindful of context in everything that he does. Whether we're working on a plan to meet a customer's signage needs, or problem solving with our equipment -- at the end of the day, we are trusted to provide efficient and professional service and taking this message to heart has strengthened him in ways he never would have expected. "No challenge is too great or absurd when you're with a creative and highly motivated team!"

Outside of work he enjoys studying the natural sciences, photography, working on physical self-improvement, playing with modular synthesizers and building things! He also loves martial arts.
He likes to follow whatever interests appear in his mind and always tries to learn new things!

Jocelyn joined the FASTSIGNS team in 2019 and brought with her creativity and knowledge from her previous experience in the printing industry. Little did she know she would gain a whole new world of insight in the signage industry!
What she appreciates most about working at FASTSIGNS is watching clients' unique and eye-catching ideas become a reality! Being able to help solve the problem with an array of signage and decor products has been very rewarding.
In Jocelyn's own words, "I really value the people I work with. This team is dedicated, hardworking and so much fun." She's learned quickly that this industry is always changing and we have to move with it to stay on top of the game.

Outside of work, Jocelyn is a Mom to a darling 3 year old. She enjoys cooking, gardening and designing jewelry.
