fastsigns 137

After selling his business based around Pittsburgh, Entrepreneur Norman Belle considered many options that included a dating service and an oil change company before he decided on opening his own FASTSIGNS center. Belle recognized the personnel management quality of FASTSIGNS and knew that he wanted to be associated with the kind of people who were in the FASTSIGNS network. He believed in the network FASTSIGNS was building and its emphasis on customer service.

It was 1990 when Belle signed on as the 53rd FASTSIGNS franchisee. The system now numbers more than 600 with both nationwide and international locations. 1991 was the year the business opened for customers and consumer use. From the beginning Belle used the many relationships he had developed in the Pittsburgh business community to expand his growing operation.

In 1998, Sylvia, Norman’s wife also joined the business as an outside sales representative and continued until her retirement in 2007. In 2004 his daughter, then known as Barb Belle now Barb Belle-Plutko, joined the company immediately building upon the foundations put in place by her father.

With the team in place FASTSIGNS® of Pittsburgh-City/South became one of the top 20 locations in all of FASTSIGNS network. Today, Barb, now the President, continues the traditions set by the Belle family. Although Norman Belle retired in 2009, this location still remains in the top 20 centers of the FASTSIGNS network.

FASTSIGNS® of Pittsburgh-City/South recognizes the need to constantly be improving technology. “We pride ourselves in our willingness to take the time to complete finished products exactly to our customer’s standards and to the best of our ability. We’re more than fast, more than signs and we’re ready to help.”
