Local FASTSIGNS Assists Local Chamber and Economy With Banner Donation Project

Author: Jayme Nelson

FASTSIGNS® of Lincolnwood has embarked on a new endeavor to assist their community through a donation banner program for local businesses who are members of the Lincolnwood Chamber of Commerce. The "Welcome Back" banners support the Chamber and provide much-needed visibility to businesses as they navigate today's turbulent business environment.

"We've been fortunate that, as an essential business, we have been open for the duration of the COVID-19 shelter-in-place situation as well as the phased re-openings in the State," said FASTSIGNS of Lincolnwood franchisee, Elizabeth O'Connor. "Since March, we've been looking for ways to support other businesses, especially those that had to close for a period of time and are not yet able to operate at capacity.”

In an effort to truly help other local business owners, FASTSIGNS has been busy providing these free banners to chamber members who are looking to boost visibility with clients.

"Our expectation is that these banners will drive more traffic to the participating businesses," said O'Connor "We're thrilled that this program has encouraged some companies to decide to join the Chamber or renew their membership."

"FASTSIGNS of Lincolnwood, a member of the Chamber, helped support both the Chamber and our network of valued partners by offering complimentary banners to welcome consumers back to business as we entered Phase 4 in Restore Illinois. As the Chamber Director, I was able to ask for Membership Renewals while demonstrating hands-on value offered with free FASTSIGNS banners,” said Erin Lyons, Executive Director of the Lincolnwood Chamber of Commerce.

Not only do the banners assist area businesses, they help instill confidence and boost morale in customers who are starting to get back out again.

"My hope is that the placement of the sign will attract attention to our corner location in the mall,” said Michelle Michonski, Center Director at Sylvan Learning of Skokie. “I love the ‘Welcome back’ verbiage. It’s perfect for our product as many of our students are returning and we are so thrilled to see them again!"

“The banner I received from FASTSIGNS is beautiful, and I really appreciate them,” said Jenny Ly with 2 Lanterns Cafe. “It means a lot to me. By displaying the “Welcome back” banner on the window, I am actually letting my customers know that I am thinking of them and inviting them back. The sign helps to draw that attention.”

“FASTSIGNS of Lincolnwood truly embodies the mantra ‘We’re all in this together,’ as they have been at the center of a movement in our Village of businesses helping businesses,” said Steve McNellis, Community Development Director at the Village of Lincolnwood.
