Client Spotlight: Seven Questions With Brendon Lorenz the Marketing and Leasing Administrator of Rez-One

Author: FASTSIGNS® of Kitchener-Waterloo

Our team has been very hard at work helping Rez-One reopen their student living areas and I had the pleasure of speaking with Brendon Lorenz, Marketing and Leasing Administrator at Rez-One. We spoke about all of the changes that have been made at the Rez-One during the pandemic, that will help them re-open safely.

Question One: Tell me a little bit about yourself! How long have you been with the company? What do you like to do outside of work?

My name is Brendon Lorenz. I am 25 years old and I've been working with Rez-One Student living for 4 years this coming April. I have been with the company since I graduated from the University of Waterloo. I am an avid sports lover and have played hockey my entire life and still play in recreational leagues (prior to covid) but I am a die-hard Leafs and Raptors fan for sure. I spend most of my time with my 2-year-old Labrador retriever Kingsley and we like to go for long walks or to the dog park in our free time.

Question Two: Tell us a little bit about this project?

The project that we were working on with FASTSIGNS was for the grand opening of our newest property in Waterloo Hespeler House located at 252 Phillip St in Waterloo. FASTSIGNS played a main role in a lot of the signage for the new property, as well as social distancing signage that was ordered at the start of the lockdown.

Question Three: How were you involved with this project?

I am the lead marketing and leasing team member located in Waterloo so I was responsible for ordering any signage that was needed for the new properties grand opening, as well as the Covid-19 social distancing measure signage that we had installed at the property to ensure safe practice by all staff and tenants. As well as preparing for that, I was involved in the leasing process of filling the units as well to ensure that the new property was fully occupied for the Fall.

Question Four: What are some of your highlights of the project so far?

The biggest highlight so far was selling out the project as early as April this year with 500 rooms being rented out in record time. The new property was highly desired by many people due to its luxurious feel and location, so the team and I worked diligently to ensure the rooms were fully rented.

Question Five: Were there any challenges? How did you overcome them?

The biggest challenge was Covid-19 and the effect that it had not only on the rental market but policies and procedures that had to be put into place to ensure the safety of our tenants and staff members. We had to be very reactionary in these unprecedented times as we were unaware of how things would unfold and we are still learning how to best handle this unforeseen situation.

Questions Six: How did FASTSIGNS help you achieve your goals?

FASTSIGNS was amazing as always in getting us the signage and posters that were needed to enforce social distancing and remind tenants of safe practices around our properties. FASTSIGNS provided all of the signage for all 5 of our apartments in town with an extremely quick turn around which really benefited and helped ensure that our tenants and staff were working/acting in a safe manner.

Question Seven: Is there anything else you want to tell our readers?

Out of all of the printing companies that I have used in Waterloo, FASTSIGNS is definitely the best. Jenn and Laura are both amazing and very communicative in helping to achieve the goals you are trying to reach and ensuring fast turnover times for items. We love to work with them and will be again in the future for sure.
