(JACKSONVILLE, Flo.) November 29, 2022 - FASTSIGNS® of Jacksonville, FL - St Johns Bluff, a local custom signs and visual solutions provider, was one of 26 Table Honorees at the National Philanthropy Day Luncheon held by the Association of Fundraising Professionals on November 14. FASTSIGNS was recognized for their work with the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund, and the event also highlighted Fundraiser of the Year, Organization of the Year and Donor of the Year.
“We were thrilled and honored to be a part of this exciting event with so many great organizations and people who serve within our community,” said Todd Helfer, franchisee at FASTSIGNS of Jacksonville, FL - St Johns Bluff.
Kelly Smith, Senior Graphic Designer and Marketing/Employee Engagement Coordinator, also attended the event. An active volunteer throughout her college career, Kelly enjoys giving back in her community. During the holidays, she and her father spend time shopping for and donating to young people in need.
“I believe anytime you can give back, whether it’s helping kids with cancer or supporting a pet shelter, it always makes you feel good inside,” said Kelly. “Even if you can only give of your time, it’s still important. Today, whether I volunteer through work or in my personal time, it’s incredibly rewarding.”
The team at FASTSIGNS has been working with The Tom Coughin Jay Fund for about three years, and there are three Jacksonville events that FASTSIGNS assists the fund with each year. First, they donate signage to the The Celebrity Golf Classic at TPC Sawgrass. Overall, the Jay Fund raised $848,000 in their 2022 Celebrity Golf Tournament.
Secondly, FASTSIGNS also sponsors and attends the annual Wine Tasting Gala at Downtown Baptist Hospital. The third way they give back is to attend the annual Gala at the TPC. Wanting to donate in as many ways as they can, the FASTSIGNS team also creates custom signs and graphics for other community projects. As the holidays approach, they plan to pool resources and make a monetary donation to help families in need through the fund.
