(CARROLLTON, TX) September 9, 2026 — FASTSIGNS International, Inc., the world’s leading custom sign and visual solutions franchisor with more than 790 FASTSIGNSⓇ centers worldwide, recognized James Roig of FASTSIGNS® of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as this year’s recipient of the Catherine Monson Outside Sales Professional of the Year Award, marking the eighth year for this honor. With this award, FASTSIGNS recognizes one Outside Sales Professional who best represents the spirit of the brand, both in the business community and within the FASTSIGNS network.
Roig also received The Double Platinum Sales Award for outstanding achievement as an Outside Sales Professional who generated sales between $2,000,000 and $2,999,999 from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. Three total Outside Sales Professionals in the FASTSIGNS network received The Double Platinum Award.
“James Roig excels in sales and professionalism with a deep commitment to the FASTSIGNS brand, embodying the spirit of mentorship and collaboration,” shared Catherine Monson, CEO of Propelled Brands, the multi-brand platform company that includes FASTSIGNS International, Inc. “With over 15 years in the network, he has become a true role model, and his dedication to excellence serves as both an inspiration and a standard for his peers and colleagues.”
Beginning his FASTSIGNS career as a sign installer in 2011, Roig’s journey was one of focus, hard work, determination and innovation. What impressed franchisee Sebastian Spada even more was the way customers responded to him and knew him by name because of the professionalism, pride and genuine care he brought to every project. Customers trusted him, and that trust reflected directly on their center. Over the last 15 years, he has excelled in almost every role within a FASTSIGNS location from installer to marketing coordinator, and inside sales to outside sales, which has earned him credibility and respect from his peers. He’s a testament to what’s possible with hard work, continuous learning and unwavering commitment.
“James is a wonderful example of growth, not only within our industry, but on a personal level also,” said Sebastian Spada, franchisee at FASTSIGNS ® of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. “He’s driven so much of our success that we’re actually expanding to a new 13,000-square-foot facility to keep up. We are so proud of James and congratulate him on his well-deserved award!”
Recognizing the rapid growth of the solar industry, Roig proactively developed a strategy to position his FASTSIGNS center as the premier provider of solar signage. His vision also drives innovation. After attending a FASTSIGNS webinar on the Point-of-Sale system, he moved to integrate the Point-of-Sale system directly with his largest customer’s database and automate their order placement. That innovation improved efficiency while demonstrating the kind of forward-thinking leadership that cannot be taught.
To support ongoing growth, FASTSIGNS of Fort Lauderdale is relocating to an expanded 13,000-square-foot facility at 4900 NE 11th Ave. The upgraded center features a larger inventory storage footprint, expanded sales offices, a remodeled showroom and a dedicated air-conditioned vehicle wrap installation bay. The move also significantly boosts total production capacity.
Roig’s legacy extends beyond his sales acumen and innovative initiative. Always willing to share his wealth of experience, he dedicates time to nurturing new outside salespeople throughout the FASTSIGNS network, imparting not just technical skills but also instilling a customer-centric ethos that defines exemplary service.
Roig’s commitment to service extends beyond his colleagues and customers. He is deeply involved in mentoring young adults with autism through hockey, combining his passion for the sport with his desire to make a meaningful difference. Today, he is a trusted coach and mentor whose influence extends well beyond the rink. That same patience, empathy and leadership are evident every day at FASTSIGNS of Fort Lauderdale.
“Winning this award was a very humbling experience for me, and it means everything to me that I was nominated. I would first like to thank God, as my faith is what got me this far, my wife and kids, who keep me grounded, and Catherine for choosing me. Also a special thank you to our whole team, and Sebastian and Kathy for providing us with all the tools we need for success. It would not be possible without them, and I'm so grateful they took a chance on me and continue to believe in me,” shared James Roig. “More importantly, I think this shows our team and other outside sales professionals that anything is possible if you work hard, keep an open mind and are prepared to take the leap even if it seems risky. I have failed a lot; I hope others can see that those are opportunities to learn. When people learn to ice skate, we always say, ‘It's not about how many times you fall; it's about how many times you can get back up,’ and I try to live by that.”
