FASTSIGNS® of North Orlando, FL - Lee Road, a new locally owned and operated sign and graphics company, is now open. Franchise owner, Rod Thompson, Jr, brings years of experience and a team that collectively has over 30 years of experience in the industry.
What once began as a side business of designing nightclub flyers throughout the state began Thompson down the road of signs and graphics. He worked to brand small local businesses which ultimately led him into the printing world. It wasn’t long before his college network and large network of friends began to see Thompson as the go-to guy to grow businesses through innovative design and creative marketing ideas.
After eight years in the digital printing industry, Thompson decided it was time for a change. He purchased a small wide format machine and later, he began discussing the opportunity with his father to join the FASTSIGNS brand. They both agreed that FASTSIGNS was the leader in the industry and they wanted to be a part of that.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Thompson accepted a full athletic scholarship to Florida A&M University to play football. After completing his undergraduate in Political Science and receiving his Masters in Applied Social Science & Economics, he relocated to Orlando with intentions of beginning law school. Growing up observing his father in marketing and advertising for more than 25 years, Thompson was always involved in watching businesses grow. Over time, his HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) affiliation played a tremendous role in his landing larger accounts and opening doors in the business world.
