Opening Up Unique Possibilities for Restaurant Signage and Glass Décor

by Cynthia Nutwell

The Opportunity

Not just an ordinary taco shop, Mad Taco strives to provide a unique dining experience. The restaurant’s menacing logo suggests bad to the bone emotions, and Mad Taco wanted signage and décor to reflect its passion for serving customers.

The Challenge

Mad Taco wanted FASTSIGNS® to provide visual graphics including a durable wall décor solution, exterior building signage and vinyl graphics that complemented the restaurant’s vibe.

The Solution

FASTSIGNS’ Kyle Brightwell consulted with Mad Taco on visual ideas for its first restaurant location. Seeking a unique way to greet customers as they enter the restaurant and make a strong brand statement, FASTSIGNS presented Mad Taco a glass décor as a viable option that provided creative freedom.

As customers enter Mad Taco, Brightwell said that everyone touches the 44 inch wide by 108 inch tall visual glass display. The ¼ inch tempered glass is very durable and doesn’t scratch.

“Mad Taco considered a variety of sign materials for the entrance wall,” Brightwell explained. “Our team recommended Clarus Glassboards as a durable solution for a décor piece as foot-traffic passes through the restaurant.”

For the exterior of the building, FASTSIGNS created lighted cabinet signage and reverse lit channel letters that are visible day or night. The building signage features the skull design element from Mad Taco’s logo.

The theme carried through to the interior of the restaurant where acrylic letters in a swirl pattern featured their brand name. FASTSIGNS also created table numbers to identify customer orders.

The Result

From visual décor solutions to building identification signs, FASTSIGNS created design elements that provided the “wow” factor to introduce Mad Taco’s bright, trendy restaurant to the community.
