2017 Brands that Made a Lasting Impression with Unique Signs and Graphics

by Jayme Nelson

Brands and organizations that are successful at making a lasting visual impression use both strategic and unique visual graphics. From distinctive murals and vehicle graphics to unexpected dimensional letters and interactive digital displays, try thinking outside of the box to maximize impact and create a memorable impression. Let's take a look at three of our favorite examples from 2017 and why they worked:

City Egg

When Ten Star Enterprises, owners of the Scramblers restaurants, decided to launch a new restaurant concept, they wanted a modern look and feel for the fast casual breakfast and lunch brand. FASTSIGNS® of Toledo and FASTSIGNS® of Maumee were involved from the beginning, providing ideas for the new restaurant name and graphic brand elements. The winning selection was “City Egg.”

For the exterior of the flagship location, FASTSIGNS provided backlit channel letters and a cityscape awning. Inside, FASTSIGNS added vinyl graphics and dimensional elements to the walls, hung branded boards featuring the products and pricing, and created specialty kiosk counters that extend City Egg’s branding while providing a durable surface for customers to order. The flagship restaurant welcomes patrons with sign and graphic elements that are modern and functional in feel, and an environment that is bright and warm.

Journey Christian Church - Jan Blog

Journey Christian Church

As a result of rapid growth, Journey Christian Church leaders began exploring options for a new site. When construction began to renovate an empty building, FASTSIGNS of Richmond assisted the church with its transformation.

The décor and branding were designed by Scott Herbert at Aesthetic Answers in Washington, D.C. FASTSIGNS worked closely with Herbert to bring the organic, modern vision to life with custom signs and graphics. Colorful murals and wall graphics provide an upbeat atmosphere, and wooden wayfinding signs and dimensional letters tie into the natural look. Magnetic receptive graphics were installed in the elementary school-age children’s area to provide an engaging element and allow for the graphics to be easily changed. Dimensional signage throughout the church adds visual interest. Staff and members at Journey Christian Church now have a place to feel at home for many years to come.

ViVi Holdings Collage - Jan Blog

ViVi Holdings

A fast-growing brand in the telecommunications, electronic payment and cloud services sectors, ViVi Holdings was moving to a new headquarters. A Brazilian-based company, the new offices needed full branding and office identification in time to launch their U.S. operations.

FASTSIGNS of Boca Raton provided a comprehensive decor package including wall graphics, dimensional letters, branded office glass panels, digital displays, counter top wraps and business cards. The result is a professional office environment with graphics that communicate Vivi’s brand and their three current service divisions to all who visit.

While the specific sign and graphics used varied in each of our brands that made a lasting impression, each execution was creative, impactful and relevant to its own brand identity.
