Mapping Software Company Navigates New Workspace With Signs and Graphics

The Challenge

ALK Technologies, Inc. is a transportation technology company that provides mapping software to fleet drivers. When they needed help identifying workspaces and finding their way around a new larger office space with an open workspace floorplan, they turned to FASTSIGNS® for solutions.

The Solution

Employee workspaces were identified with custom clear hangers for the cubicle signs and private offices. Coordinating engraved face plates identified other permanent areas. Double-sided department locators hung from the ceiling beams improved navigation around the larger space.

To enhance the interior décor, an aluminum dimensional logo was installed at the reception desk and the company mission statement was added to the waiting area. Café wall graphics reinforce the importance of each department and enhance the relaxing space, which formerly had a huge white wall.

The building is set back more than 250 feet from a major highway and struggled with visibility. An 8’ x 10’ LED cabinet sign with a reverse routed logo was installed and is very impressive at night. With current zoning, it is the only signage permitted on the front of this building.

The Result

The interior signage helped staff navigate their new space. The overhead department signage has since been used in ALK offices internationally.
