Truly Exceptional Customer Service
I almost never write Google reviews, but Michael and the team at FASTSIGNS of Kenosha absolutely earned this one.
We came to them with an idea for iBAM! — Irish Books, Arts & Music — that we hoped to use as a fun photo opportunity at Irish cultural events: an iBAM! Pop-Up Bus. Our original concept turned out to be more than $5,000 — not merely beyond our nonprofit budget, but in a different galaxy altogether!
What impressed me was what happened next. Instead of being frustrated that we couldn't proceed with the original plan, Michael immediately started looking for another way to make our idea work.
And they did.
They created a wonderful life-size bus backdrop, printed on vinyl and cut into the shape of the bus, complete with an open driver's window and steering wheel. Someone posing for a photo can stand behind the bus, put a hand through the window and over the steering wheel, and suddenly it looks like they're driving the iBAM! Bus. It was clever, fun, and exactly what we needed.
But Michael's customer service went far beyond producing the sign.
He worked with us to find a practical support system that would allow us to set the bus up securely at events. Then, when the stands we ordered didn't arrive in time for our planned launch at Irish Fest at Gaelic Park, Michael simply refused to let us be stuck.
He took two sign stands from in front of his own business, removed the FASTSIGNS signs, went to Menards for PVC pipe, cut the pipe to extend the poles to the height we needed, and even modified them so we could secure the bus and keep it taut.
Then he told me to take his stands and keep them until ours arrived because he knew how important it was to us to launch the Pop-Up Bus at Irish Fest.
THAT is going above and beyond.
Michael was friendly, patient, creative, resourceful and incredibly helpful from beginning to end. He didn't just sell us a product — he listened to what we were trying to accomplish, understood that we were working within a nonprofit budget, and found a way to make it happen.
The iBAM! Pop-Up Bus exists because Michael and FASTSIGNS of Kenosha cared enough to find a solution.
An absolute gentleman and truly exceptional customer service. Five stars aren't enough.
