Our History
FASTSIGNS made its way to Richmond all the way back in 1988. For over 35 years, FASTSIGNS Richmond has been assisting the local community with all of its high-quality custom printing needs.
Then, in 2016, FASTSIGNS Richmond transitioned ownership to Rob White, who grew the business for 7 years. By 2023, the company was well established, respected in the Richmond market, and positioned for its next stage of growth. That next stage was the perfect opportunity for Garrett and Morgan Ford.
About Garrett and Morgan
Garrett began his career auditing, reviewing, and drafting financial statements for middle-market companies. Throughout his career, he transitioned into investment banking at Mann, Armistead & Epperson. After spending much of his career advising, valuing, and working alongside business owners, Garrett decided he wanted to step into an operational role himself.
Morgan began her career in the legal field, passing both the Tennessee and Virginia bar exams. After working for the District Attorney’s office in Kingsport, TN, then moved to Virginia to practice family law. After a while, Morgan decided her talents were best utilized elsewhere, and founded a custom apparel company called Southern Y’all Designs.
When Garrett and Morgan took over ownership of FASTSIGNS Richmond, they wanted to focus on the team. They noted that they inherited a fantastic group of people, and throughout the necessary culture shifts, FASTSIGNS Richmond had zero attrition, which is very unheard of!
The Outlook Moving Forward
FASTSIGNS Richmond has been very excited for the changes they’ve been making over the last several years. Since 2023, the company has leaned heavily into larger, more complex signage projects while continuing to expand its capabilities, equipment, installation resources, and project management expertise. The business has increasingly focused on exterior signs, channel letters, monument signs, wall graphics, vehicle graphics, dimensional signs, wayfinding signs, ADA signs, custom fabrication, permitting, and professional sign installation.
Today, FASTSIGNS Richmond is more than a local sign shop. With three Richmond-area locations and a full-service production and installation operation, the company is positioned to handle signage projects from concept to completion. Customers can rely on the team for design, permitting support, fabrication, project management, and installation, all backed by the resources of a nationally recognized brand and the commitment of local ownership.
