(SAN DIEGO) March 9, 2018 ― Shane Beard has been appointed to the Small Business Advisory Board for the City of San Diego by Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer. This prestigious board is comprised of 11 members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council, and they advise on matters that help small businesses in San Diego succeed.
Beard is the owner and operator of FASTSIGNS on Mira Mesa Boulevard in San Diego. He brings more than thirty years of experience in operating small businesses in California, Illinois and Texas.
“I’m both honored and excited to have this opportunity to give back to the community,” Beard said. “Small businesses play an important role in our city through job creation and innovation.”
Beard is currently the Vice Chair of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Roundtable, a member of the Mira Mesa Chamber of Commerce and a member of the FASTSIGNS National Advertising Council representing more than one hundred FASTSIGNS franchisees in western states as it relates to marketing programs.
