Local Franchisee Awarded Small Business Woman of the Year

Author: FASTSIGNS® of Daytona Beach, FL

Carmen Ruiz Honored by The Daytona Beach News-Journal’s Volusia Flagler.

As a woman-led and managed company, the FASTSIGNS network is made up of many incredible and resilient females. The diversity and strength of women has been tested and witnessed across the FASTSIGNS network during 2020.

In an effort to create connection during a challenging season, Carmen Ruiz, franchisee at FASTSIGNS® of Daytona Beach, FL, started her own Facebook live regular business event during the pandemic. During these live events every Tuesday, she would interview members of her community, engaging them and learning more about them. Carmen also assisted her local community during the pandemic with PPE and other COVID-related signs and graphics

Carmen was recently awarded the Small Business Woman of the Year by The Daytona Beach News-Journal’s Volusia Flagler. In addition, Carmen has joined efforts with FASTSIGNS and will be an active part of the Diversity and Inclusion Council.

“We often look at success as our image and our wealth, but we really need to be using the platform we have to make an impact for good. While we should be enjoying the luxuries we work hard to acquire, we also need to remember where those blessings came from, pouring some of our blessings and time back into our communities,” said Carmen Ruiz, franchisee at FASTSIGNS® of Daytona Beach, FL.
