(LINCOLNWOOD, IL), March 4, 2019 — FASTSIGNS® of Lincolnwood, IL recently provided all signage for the third annual Iron Chief’s Cook-Off, in which the Lincolnwood police department competed against the fire department to find the team with the best culinary skills. Hosted by the Village of Lincolnwood’s Human Relations commission on January 26, the event mirrored “Iron Chef.” The local beneficiary of the event was the Niles Township Food Pantry, which seeks to serve area residents in need by “Serving Food with Dignity.”
“We originally got involved when Mario Rizzotti introduced himself and made a personal appeal for our help,” said Elizabeth O’Connor, franchisee at FASTSIGNS® of Lincolnwood, IL. “We enjoy being a part of the community and helping support such a worthy cause.”
The event was held at the Lincolnwood Community center and various local restaurants featured food and drink samples. FASTSIGNS® of Lincolnwood, IL has been involved with the event since its conception in 2017. Mario Rizzotti, Iron Chef America judge and Lincolnwood resident, emceed the event. The 2019 judges included WGN news anchor, Sean Lewis and chefs Fabio Viviani and Carlos Gaytan.
