(LIMA, Ohio) March 30, 2015 – Local signs and visual graphics provider FASTSIGNS® of Lima/West Central Ohio received Wide-Format Imaging magazine’s Project of the Year Award at the 2015 FASTSIGNS International Convention for the comprehensive signage the team provided Cooper Farms.

Family-owned and operated with locations in northwest and west central Ohio, Cooper Farms is one of the largest independent turkey producers in the country. As the business recently expanded, the team at FASTSIGNS of Lima/West Central Ohio provided signs and visual graphics to brand its new facilities and promote raising the 2014 Presidential Turkey that was pardoned by President Barack Obama in Washington, D.C.

Cooper Farms Signage and the Presidential Turkey Campaign

“For the Presidential Turkey campaign, we branded the new barn that was built to house the turkeys and provided graphic solutions to educate and engage people visiting the Presidential Turkey barn,” said Mark Engle, owner of FASTSIGNS of Lima/West Central Ohio. The team provided a visual timeline explaining the life cycle of a turkey, photographic prints of different breeds and an interactive map of the region for visitors to place a pin to show their location. FASTSIGNS also helped Cooper Farms promote the Presidential Turkey at The Ohio State University tailgate parties with a stand-behind graphic of turkeys spelling out O-H-I-O.

Cooper Farms acquired a chicken and egg cooperative in Fort Recovery, Ohio. Within 24 to 48 hours after the acquisition was final, Engle and his team rebranded the facility with the Cooper Farms logo to immediately establish brand awareness in the community. FASTSIGNS installed a Cooper Farms logo on the silo facing the town’s main street. This graphic was produced with nine separate pieces of polymetal and installed using a bucket truck.

“We wanted to make sure that everyone who visited Fort Recovery knew that Cooper Farms was a prominent business in town by placing the logo 85-feet high on the silo,” Engle said. “My entire team worked together in the fabrication and installation of this challenge. Detailed planning and safety training helped this large-scale project run smoothly.”

FASTSIGNS of Lima/West Central Ohio’s Cooper Farms project is featured in Wide-Format Imaging magazine’s April 2015 issue.
