So whether you’re looking to pop the question and need some fresh inspiration, or you’re simply a romantic at heart with a soft spot for happy endings, enjoy these signs that prove love is in the air this Valentine’s Day.

Digital Signage Proposal

Talk about target marketing, Frank Bernardo from Toronto booked a bilingual spot to run on a digital poster in a downtown Montreal mall. What appeared to be a weekend trip to the city and a fun-filled day of shopping took an unexpected turn as Frank’s girlfriend Alison encountered the creative marriage proposal sign.  And in case you were wondering, she said “yes.”

New York Tea Store Signage Proposal

The storefront of a popular neighborhood tea store featuring bubble tea was the setting for a marriage proposal from hopeful romantic Chris Jones. The store just so happened to be on the ground floor of the building where Chris lived. He and his girlfriend Kristi had made plans to move to Colorado together. As they were taking one last stroll down memory lane, they walked past the ThirsTea shop and well, the rest is history.

Menu Board Proposal

For Rachel and Ari, the chalkboard at their favorite ice cream store had the scoop on a brand new flavor, which just so happened to be, “Rachel, will you marry me? The new mystery flavor was packed with all of Rachel’s favorites: caramel, pretzel, cookie dough and peanut butter — sprinkled with love of course.

Make A Splash

High school pals Lindsay and Christopher were Redondo Beach neighbors who would chat at night on walkie-talkies, so you know this story has a happy ending. Lindsay had a dream one night that she and Chris were holding hands at the mall, woke up and realized, wow, I really like this guy. She wished on a shooting star (we can’t make this stuff up) and the next thing you know Chris was proposing marriage . How he suggested taking the plunge was by actually doing it, riding Splash Mountain in Disneyland where friends held up signs hidden in their backpacks.

The Mural Commission Signage

Stop-motion video recounts the touching and labor-intensive proposal of Jeff to his girlfriend Caitlin in the East Village. You’d have to know the couple to get the backstory behind the creative use of elements such as Scrabble, a nod to the couple’s favorite board game and the family pet, Perky. With a proposal like this one, Jeff set the bar pretty high for anniversary celebrations.

Someone Really Loves Angry Birds

Who knew an obsession for the popular video game franchise created by Finnish computer game developer Rovio Entertainment would lead to a walk down the aisle. For Ben, his love of Angry Birds meant it would inevitably be involved in his wedding to Mel. He made that happen, first by contacting Angry Birds and requesting a special app for his lady love. The game maker gladly obliged and while Mel was playing the game at lunch one day, “Will you marry me?” popped up. Looks like Ben wins high score for most creative proposals.
